Thornhill Crowned Partnership Mini-Hockey Champions

24th February 2010

RAWMARSH PARTNERSHIP MINI-HOCKEY CHAMPIONSHIPS 2010

It was a chilly day on the 24th February 2010 for Rawmarsh School Sport Partnership Hockey Finals, held at Aurora. However the cold did not affect the standard of play and there was a great turn out from the Partnershp Finalist Schools. Thornhill powered through to become the Partnership Champions, winning most of their games and drawing only once with Swinton Brookfield.

Rockingham also played some excellent hockey, winning every game except for losing to                                                                                                           the tournament winners Thornhill.

Thornhill will now participate in the South Yorkshire Mini Hockey Championship and we wish the team the very best of luck.

Rawmarsh School Sport Partnership would like to extend a huge thank you to David Woodward from Rotherham Hockey Club, who organised a very successful event. Mrs Tunks from Rockingham was also a fantastic help umpiring all the matches on behalf of the teachers. We would also like to congratulate all of the partnership schools who contributed to a fantastic competition.
